MY JOURNEY

Spontaneously, I found myself in Costa Rica for a short break in 2021.  As I stepped into this corner of the world, I remembered what it was like to breathe in and breathe out; where the fresh tropical fruit tastes sweeter and the food is prepared with love.  Reminiscent  of Cape Town, I had an overwhelming, familiar sense of having come "home".   

Inspired to really EXPERIENCE life in the town of Nosara, as described by some Canadians now living there, I found myself planning my return, before I had even left.

And so, I did!  Finding a tiny Tree Room in the Nosaran Blue Zone, I booked a flight and literally showed up.  Not speaking the language, unfamiliar with this foreign lifestyle, language and currency, lost amongst the dust roads with no names, nor with streetlights, I felt like I had stepped into darkness.  Feeling somewhat paralyzed and unclear of why I had voluntarily chosen to place myself in this uncomfortable space, I took pause.  

And when I found the courage to step outside of the narrow door to my Tiny Room, The Universe revealed itself to me and my life changed.

Many of you unexpectedly ended up, in your own personal ways, sharing this journey with me across cyberspace, countries, continents and decades of friendships.  It was overwhelming.

On my return to the States, I heard your calls to create a  pathway, an opportunity to follow in my footsteps.

    • Secure Trip Insurance as needed.  I can tell you where I secure mine.
    • Fulfill all the Covid testing/documentation requirements for both Costa Rica  and your return destination as needed (See Links for Costa Rica & USA)
    • Pay for your own Covid test while in Costa Rica, should you be required to test prior to your return home.  We will arrange testing location and timeslot.
    • Arrange your own airport transport to and from your departure city en route to Costa Rica and on return to your final destination.
      • (Airport transportation is ONLY provided while in Costa Rica)
    • Ensure you have some discretionary income available to cover SOME meals, additional activities and incidentals while  in Costa Rica
    • Adhere to and pay for all the Covid requirements of both your country of origin and destination, including the Covid test in Costa Rica, prior to returning home
